CJD 2022 National Congress
Congress
The national congress of the Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants – an example of the events industry uniting to promote its region.
On May 12 and 13, 2022, 1,800 people attended the national congress of the Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants (CJD) in Toulouse. This major event brought together responsible and committed leaders around the theme “Let’s be realistic, let’s demand the impossible”. The congress took place in emblematic venues in the pink city: the plenary sessions were held at the Toulouse Stadium, the Victor Hugo market was privatized for the young leaders, and a sit-down dinner was organized at the Marché d’intérêt National Toulouse Occitanie (MIN).
The economic impact of the congress, a study carried out in partnership with the Toulouse CCI.
More than 1,800 people attended the national convention in Toulouse, generating :
- Approximately 4,500 overnight stays
- 97% of delegates stayed in commercial accommodation for an average of 2.6 nights
- 12% of stays extended beyond the event, mainly in Toulouse in commercial accommodation
- 9 out of 10 delegates discovered the city through various activities, outings or visits that went beyond the convention program
- 82% of non-local delegates intend to return to Toulouse in the short or medium term
Proof by example, the convention bureau facilitated the event:
- With the CJD Toulouse and CJD Occitanie Pyrénées supporting the bid from the outset
- By offering exceptional venues: the Stadium de Toulouse, Marché Victor Hugo, Le Grand Marché by Miharu
- Proposal of an event agency corresponding to the organizers’ needs Médiane Event & Travel for coordination and production
- A collaboration with the PGO agency and the artisans for the organization of the evening at the Victor Hugo market
Assessment – Thanks to the involvement of all these players, the 1,800 participants at the CJD France national congress will remember the 2022 edition in Toulouse:
- Following the holding of a large-scale takeover event that involved the entire Toulouse events chain (caterers, multi-sites, agencies, technical staff, transport, etc.), we were able to offer a complete range of services
- Joining a congress committed to CSR
- Participants took advantage of a program of guided tours offered by the tourist office teams, an off-site reception and the provision of Tourism Passes
- With an “Invest in Toulouse” presentation (presentation of the existing ecosystem for setting up and developing projects in Toulouse) for young entrepreneurs
