A city of nature

Discover Toulouse and its gardens in the heart of the city: sail as a team along the Garonne, cycle along the Canal du Midi, take to the skies... Here's a selection of things to do as a group, with your colleagues, to get some fresh air as part of a convention or to strengthen team bonds. With over 810 hectares of green space, make the most of France's 4th largest city and its leafy surroundings.

Wake up to well-being in the Japanese Gardens

For a stopover on the edge of the orient, treat yourself to a zen walk in the Japanese garden.

Located in the heart of the Compans-Caffarelli Park, the Japanese Gardens, which have been awarded the ‘jardin remarquable’ label, are surprisingly exotic. A true invitation to meditation and relaxation, it is a blend of existing Japanese gardens in Kyoto, built between the 14th and 16th centuries.

Discover the gentle atmosphere of the canals

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, the Canal du Midi and the Canal de Brienne are veritable havens of nature right in the heart of Toulouse. They illustrate many aspects of the canal’s history: locks and lock houses, bridges and footbridges, historic ports and old buildings linked to its operation.

Discover these jewels of heritage in an exceptional wooded setting, and you can even take a barge to some of these magical spots for an extraordinary evening out.

Pedal by the water’s edge

With 606 km of cycle paths, the Toulouse metropolitan area offers an exceptional setting for discovering nature at the turn of a wheel.

Discover the banks of the Garonne or the towpaths of the shady canals. The Ville Rose’s Latin personality comes to the fore, with its breathtaking views of the Hôtel Dieu and the Dôme de la Grave, and you can also enjoy a break on the Ile du Ramier, Toulouse’s veritable green lung. Along the Canal du Midi, you can observe the ingenious operation of the locks that allow barges to pass through.

Imagine an escape game in a plant maze

Wander through the shady alleys and follow the inventors’ Enigma trail. The labyrinth at Château de Merville, with its 10km of paths lined with high green walls, is a real curiosity, and is the largest boxwood labyrinth in Europe. The château and its grounds are listed as Historic Monuments, and the labyrinth has been awarded the « Jardin Remarquable » label.

Sail down the Garonne in a canoe

Join river guides for a canoe-kayak trip in the heart of the regional nature reserve, just 15 minutes from Toulouse. You will be supervised by a team of instructors who will be able to adapt the trip to your ability. The trip will alternate between fun activities (jumps, swimming in the rapids, entertainment, etc.) and gourmet breaks based on local, artisanal products.

Dine in a green setting at Mercure Golf de Seilh

In the heart of a magnificent golf course, just 8 minutes from the international airport and 25 minutes from the historic centre of Toulouse, the Mercure Golf de Seilh goes out of its way to offer you tailor-made evenings in an exceptional natural environment. Benefit from quality services in an exceptional setting.
