Conference on Magnetospheres of the Outer Planets

The 2026 Magnetospheres of the Outer Planets (MOP) international conference will bring together researchers, engineers and experts from around the world specialising in the study of the magnetospheres of the Solar System’s giant planets in Toulouse from 26 to 31 July 2026. This biennial event is a leading scientific forum for presenting recent advances in space physics, exploring the interactions between magnetic fields, plasmas and planetary environments, and fostering exchanges within the international community.

Organised by ISAE-SUPAERO, IRAP and ONERA, this year’s event will take place at the Mercure Toulouse Centre Compans Hotel and will also offer the option of remote participation. Through lectures, scientific presentations and themed discussions, participants will share the results of recent space missions and future prospects relating to the exploration of the extreme worlds of the Solar System. The event is therefore a key occasion for fostering scientific collaboration and deepening our understanding of the space environments of the outer planets.
