YS2C 2026

Congress

Young Scientist Cancer Congress

The Young Scientist Cancer Congress (YS2C) is an international scientific conference dedicated to cancer research, founded in Toulouse in 2023 by a group of French and German postdoctoral researchers and young clinicians.

YS2C was born out of a simple observation: young researchers have few opportunities to interact directly with leaders in their field in an environment that fosters discussion, collaboration, and the emergence of new ideas. We therefore conceived a high-level scientific conference, organized by postdocs and young clinicians, where scientific excellence is paired with close interaction between speakers and participants.

From its very first edition, YS2C has had a European focus. Led by a Franco-German organizing committee, the conference promotes collaboration among basic, translational, clinical, and computational research, based on the conviction that the challenges of cancer can only be met by bringing together complementary expertise across borders and disciplines.

The success of the first edition led YS2C to become a traveling conference. After Toulouse (2023), Montpellier (2024), and Berlin (2025), the fourth edition will return to Toulouse on October 1 and 2, 2026, with the theme “Advances in Cancer Therapeutics.”

Today, YS2C brings together participants from all over Europe and beyond: researchers, clinicians, bioinformaticians, students, postdocs, patient advocates, and established scientists. Each edition offers young researchers a unique opportunity to present their work, exchange ideas with international experts, meet scientific journal editors, and develop collaborations that can accelerate their careers and research projects.
