National Firefighters Congress 2023
The National firefighters congress 2023 is an annual event that brings together firefighters, civil protection professionals, politicians, industrialists and other players in the sector. The event provides an opportunity to discuss civil protection issues, exchange experiences, present technological innovations and strengthen cohesion within the firefighting community.
We had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful edition in Toulouse in 2023!
From October 4 to 8, on 2 exceptional sites in Toulouse, this national event skilfully blended inter-professional exchanges with prevention and awareness-raising for the general public.
At the MEETT and the firefighters’ village set up in the city center (“Grand Rond” and “Allées Jules Guesde”), professionals, the general public and the sun all turned out in force for this 129th congress, which took place in a convivial and festive atmosphere!
A professional component, at THE MEETT
Meetings and networking: It’s an opportunity for participants to meet, exchange ideas and forge partnerships.
Professional congresses, general meetings and conferences: Experts speak on topics relating to safety, risk prevention, rescue organization and more.
Exhibitions: 500 exhibitors presented the latest innovations in materials, equipment and technologies for firefighters and emergency services.
Practical workshops: Demonstrations and training courses are offered to share rescue skills and techniques.
A section for the general public, at THE MEETT and in the downtown village
“Allées Jules Guesde”, “Jardin du Grand Rond”, “Jardin des Plantes” and “Quai Des Savoirs” with 3 objectives:
- Raising public awareness of risk prevention
- Learn about civil security and the world of firefighting
- Prevention of mega-fires with an exhibition at Quai des savoirs
The Toulouse edition in figures:
- 3,300 delegates
- 550 exhibitors
- 1,500 volunteers
- Over 100,000 visitors out of 80,000 expected
