CONFERENCE ON VULNERABILITY 2026

Congress

14th Francophone Conference on Vulnerability

Healthy ageing: from science to action

As we enter the second quarter of the 21st century, we are faced with a new certainty: ageing in good health is no longer a pipe dream. Geroscience—the science that studies the biological mechanisms of ageing to prevent age-related diseases—is now paving the way for predictive, preventive and personalised medicine. The data speaks for itself: people aged 70 today have the intrinsic capacity of people aged 60 just ten years ago. We are ageing better than before, and we can improve this trajectory even further.

Over two days in Toulouse, conference attendees will discuss the latest advances in geroscience and geriatric medicine, the results of the five-year ICOPE randomised clinical trial, new therapeutic approaches emerging from geroscience, the practical arrangements for rolling out ICOPE across the country — including the new SPDA scheme —, as well as practical tools for longevity consultations and digital patient monitoring.
